Bajaj-Pulsar-200NS

You heard it right – Bajaj is finally coming up with a 350 cc engine bike for India

K.Srinivas, Rajiv Bajaj, and Abraham Joseph at the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS launch

Rajiv Bajaj is one man that love giving surprises. First at the KTM Duke launch, when he announced the launch of the New 2012 Pulsar NS in India and complementing the same at the Pulsar NS launch event, he told the media bout the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 350.

Rajiv Bajaj made the big announcement that is sure to gladden almost all bike enthusiast in India. Mr. Bajaj officially confirmed that Bajaj will add another belt of Pulsar by 2013 and this time it will be a 350cc beast, youu can call it the Pulsar 350.

The Pulsar 350, just like the Pulsar 200 NS will be based on the KTM Duke. Incidentally, KTM has made its plans very clear that it is going to launch a 350cc variant of the Duke come 2013. So, the Pulsar 350 seems a very logical step by Bajaj considering the fact that
the new Pulsar series share plenty of technology from KTM, especially in the engine department.

Like its predecessor version which had DTS-i the new Pulsar is names as NS (refers to as Naked Sports) similarly, we can epect the 350cc Pulsar
to be named as Bajaj Pulsar 350 NS and similar what happened witht he 200 Duke & the Pulsar 200 NS, the same could happen again i.e.
After the launch of KTM Duke 350, there would be Bajaj Pulsar 350 but these are still speculations, there is no official news on whether
it would be on the same grounds of the KTM Duke 350.

About the pricing, looking at Bajaj’s ongoing price startegy, the Pulsar 350cc could be in the price range of 1.75 to 2 lakh.

Thats a great news, i have owned a Pulsar 150 and Avenger 180(current). I have become so used to with the cruiser styling, i cant think of driving any other bike. I love harley, triumph and other cruiser bike brands but they are way out of my budget. Before Avenger 200cc was launched i was expecting a major upgrade from Bajaj (some 350cc+ cruiser), but they launched a 200cc bike(Just 20cc more), i was disappointed. With the 350cc pulsar coming next year, I hope they install the same heart in Avenger as well as they have been doing it so far. Add more weight to it(175-185kg), rear disc brakes, 22+ltr tank, loud and heavy exhaust note, better suspension(esp. for pot holes, gravel and wet surface), even wider tyres, decent mileage and keep the price competitive(under 1.5 lakh). That will make it a complete beast and it will be a huge success, i am sure there are many people in India who are starving for powerful cruiser bikes but there aren’t many options to choose from. Please Bajaj make it happen.
