Bajaj Auto Launches Discover 100 4G

The most promising bike of its time Discover 100 in commuter motorcycle segment is giving
a new variant that is Discover 100 4G. According to Bajaj, 4G stands for 4gears that means the
Bajaj has reduced one gear from the Discover 100, which in turn has resulted the bike becoming
cheaper by Rs. 1900/-. The reason behind discontinuing the 5 gear version of the Discover 100 is
to increase the sail of this commuter segment.

Bajaj Auto recently achieved the second position from Honda (in monthly sales) and this is the
strategy to sustain the position as Honda is trying its every bit to get back the position. This
move might have been taken to give upcoming launch of Dream Yuga commuter motorcycle, a
nervous breakdown. The bike has the same specification features apart from a removal of cog.
The Discover 100 is still powered by a 94.38cc, DTS-SI 2.0 engine which produces 7.5 BHP of
peak power at 7500 RPM and 7.85 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM. With a weight of 115 kgs,
the Discover 100 is a very practical bike for mileage seeking buyers.
