Ownership Review – Honda CBR 150R

We have been going strong and our biggest strength lies with our reader, we would like to thank Jenu, one of our avid readers from Kollam, Kerala for sharing his personal ownership review with his 1 month old the all new Honda CBR150R, Here it is for you all:

Jenu got his green black 150cc Honda beauty on the 23rd of April 2012 from Vahini Motors in Kollam, Kerala and to his luck, he didnt got any waiting on the bike, mind you the CBR 150R just got released in the middle of April 2012, the ex-showroom of the bike is somewhere around Rs, 1,15,000 but after all the taxes and registration costs, it costed about Rs. 1,36,000 on road price in Kerala.

As per jenu – he’s pretty happy with the bike till now and marks his riding experience with the CBR150R with words like Great and Wow!, he loves the exhaust sound after the rpm meter rages over 5000.

Interms of looks the CBR150R is a younger sibling of the CBR250R and custom wise looks more or less the same apart from the size of front anf rear tyres. It can give you a small hint of how a bigger litre superbike could be, jeva finds his CBR150R as muscular, it feels like a powerful machine, a superbike, but need to be revvd high to acheive high speeds.

Interms of braking and handling: The CBR150R provides great handling but the MRF zapper tyres need to be replaced for better improved braking, in numbers – it is efficient to about 95%

Top Speed of Honda CBR150R: 136 KMPH (That is something for a 150cc engine at 19.5HP)

Now coming to mileage of the Honda CBR150R: The bike is currently giving a mileage of about 52 kmpl in moderate driving condition.

Any extra accesories: Yes! An extra horn has been placed on the bike for a slightly louder and a muscular feel.

Any Problems with the Honda CBR150R: Yes MAJOR – There was a manufacturing defect to the radiator fan of the bike, i have now send the bike back to Honda for replacement and will soon be getting it fixed, rest its all fine.
